Danger - Warning
The length of this duct must be 0.5m max. with truncated-conical cross-section, with the base con
-
nected to the explosion vent membrane with dimensions equal to the cross-section of the membrane
(S1), and the outlet cross-section at least double (S2). This is to reduce load losses to the minimum
and prevent deposit of combustible material in the duct. Moreover the duct with truncated-conical
cross-section must have a resistance equal to that of the filter structure. Longer section or different
shape of ducting is not permitted as this involves increase in residual pressure in the filter, in case of
an explosion. The ducting must be fixed properly, and must not have bends or reduced cross-section.
Danger - Warning
The user/installer must assess the possibility of toxic emissions in case of activation of the venting
device.
Important
If the filter is applied on silos, and other containers, the user/installer must protect the additional vol
-
ume by means of other protection systems!
St1 and St2 type dust
- Flame length (calculated according to EN 14491) = LF (see the table below). Valid only for filters provided
with the hopper, anti-explosion panel and its accessories supplied by WAM.
