REV.0 | 09/2015
NOTE
In case the page containing the wiring diagram for connection to the terminal block is misplaced
or unreadable, refer to the TWB diagrams at chapter 13.6 of this manual. Otherwise, a copy
can be requested from Visam s.r.l. Technical Customer Service Dept.
NOTE
The tightening torques of the terminal block nuts and ground screw are listed in the TTT table
at chapter 13.5.
WARNING
The yellow/green ground conductors (green for USA) must be connected to the appropriate
screw located inside the terminal box and must be longer than the feed conductors (Fig: 07-17).
Tighten the cable gland ring nut firmly to secure the feed cable into position, then replace the
rubbers and the terminal block covers, making sure the O-Ring is properly into place ( 07-18).
NOTE
The Vibrator must be started up directly from the power line according to the MCD diagrams at
paragraph 13.7. No “soft start” or star/delta start - up is allowed.
NOTE
If the Vibrator is fed through a frequency converter (PWM inverter), make sure the chosen
version is able to supply the inrush current indicated in the TDT tables at chapter 13.

Running test
WARNING
Before proceeding with the function test, make sure the machine on which the Vibrator is installed
is compliant with the current Directive 2006/42/CE
NOTE
In case 2 Vibrators, that are to be synchronized to generate a linear vibration, are installed on
the same machine, make sure their rotating direction is inverted; otherwise, invert two feed
conductors on the Vibrator terminal block (Fig.07-19).
Start up the machine for a short time (3 - 5 seconds) to check that the rotation direction of the
Vibrator coincides with that foreseen in the manual.
Start up the machine for testing and keep it running for approx. 1-2 hours, while checking the
following:
•
proper operation
•
presence of abnormal noise
•
Vibrator input current
•
Vibrator rotation speed.
NOTE
The Vibrator is fitted with special roller bearings which, during operation, may produce higher
noise level compared to that of a normal electric motor.
