NOTE
The input power value of the Vibrator following the test time is usually lower than that shown
on the identification plate (up to 50%).
NOTE
If the input power value, in case of particular applications (vibrating bottoms, silos, hoppers,
caissons, moulds, etc,), turns out to be higher than that shown in the identification plate, the
centrifugal force must be gradually reduced, as indicated in chapter 8, until said value falls back
within the permitted range.
Once the test is completed, check the following:
•
tightening of the Vibrator fixing bolts/nuts
•
tightening of the feeding and thermistor cable glands
•
temperature reached by the Vibrator
•
machine structure (there must be no signs of cracks and/or damages).
WARNING
In case cracks and/or signs of damages are detected, the power supply to the machine must
be immediately cut off and said defects repaired to avoid severe damage to people or things.

ADJUSTMENT OF VIBRATION INTENSITY
NOTE
The vibration intensity of the machine can be modified in the following ways:
•
by adjusting the moment (eccentric weights)
•
by adjusting the speed (feeding frequency)
8.1
Moment adjustment
NOTE
The Vibrators of the SPV and SPX series are equipped with “lamellar” weights fixed to the shaft
through the nut, (for smaller versions), and by “clamp type” weights and relative locking nuts
screws (medium and large versions). The Vibrator comes with a setting of 80% of the available
centrifugal force. An adjustment disc is fitted to each side of the Vibrator, secured to the fixed
internal weights, and is to be used as a reference point for adjustment procedures (Fig.08-02).
Remove the weights covers and loosen the (lamellar) nuts or the weight blocking clamp screws
(08-05).
WARNING
Do not remove the Seeger retaining rings located on the shaft, as the adjustable weight may
slip off and cause damage to people or things (Fig. 08-06).
