REV.0 | 09/2015
NOTE
In order to achieve longer bearing life, it is advisable not to use any type of lubricant other than
that which is indicated in the IST table at chapter 13.3, while keeping with the recommended
intervals and quantities. Lubricating intervals refer to the Vibrator operating at an ambient
temperature of +25°C (+75°F).
In case of higher ambient temperatures, the following reduction coefficients are to be applied
according to the following intervals:
• +30° (+85°F):
0,8
• +35° (+95°F):
0,6
• +40° (+105°F):
0,4
NOTE
The values indicated in the IST tables at chapter 13.3 are to be considered as guidelines and
may be reduced or increased according to the operators’ direct experience in relation to specific
maintenance operations and applications.
NOTE
Smaller Vibrator models are fitted with ball bearings lubricated FOR LIFE and therefore do not
require any further lubrication, whereas, medium and large models are fitted with roller bea
-
rings lubricated with special “Long Life” lubricant, as indicated in the IST table at chapter 13.3.
To assess bearings lifetime, Visam s.r.l. follow the L
10
, lifetime rating (90 % probability that the
calculated bearing lifetime will be exceeded).
WARNING
Lubricant may be irritating to eyes and skin, so make sure to follow all the safety precautions
provided by the manufacturer.
9.1
Bearing lubrication
NOTE
Grease fittings may be located either on the outside of the Vibrator, or on the inside, on the
bearing houses, in a safe position and protected by the weight covers.
As per model with grease fittings located on the outside of the Vibrator, clean them thoroughly to
prevent contamination and then pump the foreseen quantity of lubricant into the bearing according
to the intervals listed in the IST tables at chapter 13.3 (Fig. 09-02).
As per models with grease fittings located on the inside, remove the weight covers and clean
them to prevent contamination and then pump the foreseen quantity of lubricant into the bearing
according to the intervals listed in the IST tables at chapter 13.3 (Fig. 09-03).
Replace the weight covers, making sure the O-Rings are fitted properly into place (Fig. 09-04).
9.2
Replacement of parts
WARNING
Always use original spare parts. The use of non original parts may cause damage to the Vibrator
and to people or things.
