4.6.1 Hopper feeding
Open the hopper lid. Remove the stitches of the pellet sack and point the sack with the open
end downwards up to the safety grid in the hopper and slowly empty its contents. Close the
hopper lid after filling and always keep it closed during operation.
Our tip:
Pour the pellets slowly as close as possible to the hopper to prevent dust formation.
Pellets could also be transferred into the hopper with a bucket or a similar container.
Note:
Do not throw any foreign bodies into the hopper; eventual damage will not be covered by
warranty / claims under warranty.
4.6.2 Switching on the stove
Upon start-up the auger is still completely empty. The first pellets do not fall into the burn pot
until about 10 minutes after the stove starts and the ignition is turned off again. The same
applies if the hopper was filled too late and has completely emptied.
Procedure in both cases for safe ignition of the stove:
•
Switch on the stove using the
I/O
button and wait until the pre-heating program has
terminated or the first pellets fall into the burn pot.
•
Then switch off the stove again using the
I/O
button and restart after 5 seconds. The pre-
heating program elapses once again and the stove ignites as soon as the first pellets fall into
the burn pot. Repeat the procedure when needed.
Our tip:
If the hopper has run completely empty and there are no more pellets in the auger, you could
reduce the time until the pellets fall into the burn pot once again and the stove ignites by
throwing a handful of pellets until the first row of holes in the burn pot.
Caution:
Never fill the burn pot completely, malfunction would be the consequence.
