Connecting the hearth
Check whether the floor on which the stove is placed can carry this weight without problem. The Olaf Eco
weighs around 375 kg’s. You must follow the directions given in the previous chapter on ‘Preparation” before
installing the stove. Please mind your back and the floor during installation!
1. Connect the Olaf ECO to an existing chimney.
2. The under-pressure in the flue tube must be 10 to 12 Pa (0.1 to 0.12 millibars).
3. Take precautionary measures against fire (see points 1 to 9 on page 25)
4. Place the stove at the selected place.
5. Level the stove.
6. Place the pipe between the stove and the outlet channel. Connect a Ø 150 mm tube to the coupling unit
(the mouthpiece) in the straightest possible line from the stove to the chimney. The tube must be made
of steel with a thickness of at least 2 mm. Please keep in mind that the tube will expand in the length by
about 1 cm per meter, and verify that the outlet is not jammed between the mouthpiece and the ceiling.
Attaching the soapstone
The soapstone panels must be mounted carefully to avoid damage. Please mind your back.
