Your Pecan Eco stove at a single glance
The Pecan Eco is a combination of comfort and efficient heat output with an ingenious flue gas circulation system. There are
3 versions available, the Pecan Eco S, Pecan Eco M and Pecan Eco L.
Due to the large amount of glass, the heat in the wood-burning stove will be radiated immediately – so you get as much
heat as possible in the room. The built-in flue gas baffle allows extra heat to be extracted from the flue gases, which means
the wood-burning stove radiates even more heat. And with the built-in air valve, you can control the inlet air so the fireplace
receives more/less oxygen, adjusting the intensity of the fire and releasing more/less heat. Due to the extended flue gas ducts
in the wood-burning stove, the soapstone is kept at the optimum heat during use. Due to the soapstone’s natural ability to
retain heat, the wood-burning stove will continue to radiate heat for a few hours after the fire has gone out.
Installation
It is common practice for the dealer where you purchased your Pecan Eco stove to also take care of installing it. If this is not
the case, please ensure that the installation is done by a certified installer in accordance with the installation instructions and
national and currently applicable local regulations. A certified installer can also give you the right advice about the flue tube
to which the stove must be connected. Connecting wood-burning stoves by unqualified persons is prohibited, in which case
we cannot give any guarantee about proper functioning of your Pecan Eco stove. Please bear the fire safety in mind when
installing the stove. See also page 21.
The wood stove is intended for extra heating and does not replace a proper central-heating system.
The wood stove is suitable and approved for occasional use. Continual use leads to a shorter life span of
the product.
The wood stove may not be modified in any way without the written permission of the manufacturer.
Lighting the stove for the first time
Discolouration of walls, ceilings and grates
The walls, ceilings and grates may show some discolouration after lighting your stove. This is caused by
the dust particles that burn in the convection cover. WANDERS cannot be held responsible for this natural
process. To minimize discolouring we refer to the advice given for atmospheric hearths. Your installer can
give you more information about this.
Lighting procedure soapstone
If you do not comply with the following lighting procedure, the guarantee may lapse. The wood-burning stove is only suitable
for burning wood. For further explanation see the “Fuel” paragraph on page 19.
