Out of season

Close all doors and air vents in the summer season.

Place moisture-absorbing salt in the burner if it is in a damp room.
Annual maintenance
•
In connection with ire safety and possible ire insurance, have your chimney swept.
thoroughly every year by a recognised chimney sweep.
•
Have the tightness of the lue gas outlet and the combustion air intake of the chimney
system checked annually.
•
Have the sliders and/or valves checked for proper functioning every year.
•
Have all door and window seals checked for wear and tear annually.
Safety
A WANDERS wood-burning ireplace provides you with a comfortable and safe source of heat in your
home.
Fire safety begins with correct installation and a properly functioning lue. Your itter must therefore
observe the installation guidelines, as described on page
30
and following. The following points are
also important for safe burning:
•
Always use your wood-burner with the door closed. This increases ef iciency and is also
better for the environment.
•
Prevent small children or dependent persons from coming near a wood-burner and do not
leave them alone when the ire is burning. Use a ire-guard if necessary.
•
Do not pour or place lammable liquids and materials in the burner. This can damage the
burner beyond repair.
•
If the loor around the burner is made of lammable material, use a loor plate.
The loor plate should have a minimum size of: 50 cm from the burner at the
front of the door; 30 cm from the burner on each side of the door.
•
Do not place lammable materials, e.g. curtains, wooden objects (cupboards, paintings),
near the burner or the chimney. Keep a minimum distance of 80 centimetres from the
outside of the burner and the chimney lue.
•
Cover combustible material that is near the burner and cannot be moved with
heat-resistant sheeting.
•
Never cover the burner with lammable material (such as wallpaper).
•

25
.
•
Have the burner repaired only by a recognised itter using original spare parts.
