Maintaining the markisolette

dd200000126_15

The markisolette

must

 be

maintained regularly and at
least once a year.

Inspection and maintenance
work is only to be carried
out by an appropriately
qualified specialist. We
recommend you take out a
maintenance agreement
with a qualified specialist.

DANGER

Check the markisolette regularly for signs
of wear and damage, e.g. on the motor

Check the function and the switch-off points on the
markisolette.

Inspect the location where the fabric is attached to the
drop profile for wear and damage.

Check that the guide elements are firmly seated.

Make a visual check of all movable parts.

What you should know about fabrics

Technical fabrics may reveal features in production and
sizing that the client may consider “faults”. The blemishes
described below will not affect the usability or durability of
the fabric:

Creases

The fabric may crease when it is cut, sewn or drawn onto
the frame. The result is a shift in pigmentation. When
viewed against the light, the fabric will appear to be
soiled with dirty marks.

Winding folds, waviness

As the fabric is wound in and out over the shaft, it is
tightened more around the seam than between the
seams. Irregular fabric thicknesses create waves that
“dig” into the fabric. The waves are visible when the unit
is open.

Other

Spinning of the yarns as well as warping in the weaving
mill and the weaving process itself is executed under
tension. The yarn may break. This causes knots.
Irregular thread thicknesses are seen as light areas or
nops in the fabric.
