Projection area: Risk of crushing/injury

Always keep the
projection area of the
external venetian blind
clear of obstacles.

If the unit hits an
obstacle after all, the
blind first needs to be
raised slightly before
the obstacle is re-
moved.

Keep people away from
the external venetian
blind as long as the
product is moving!

Products with electrical
control units may start
moving at any time and
without prior notice. Ensure
that dangerous situations
do not arise.

Do not reach in
between movable parts
(e.g. bottom rail and
slat).

The product can be
controlled manually (via the
operating element) or
automatically (via the
control). When the product
is raised, the slats arrange
themselves on top of each
other into a package. If
parts of the body (hands,
for example) are located
between the slats, there is
a risk that the person will
be pulled upward together
with the package.

Care/maintenance

4.1

General information on care and
maintenance

Regular appropriate care and maintenance and the
exclusive use of original spare parts are essential for
trouble-free operation and a long product lifetime.

NOTE

Ensure that the external venetian blind is not
moved during maintenance and repair work in its
direct proximity – e.g. window-cleaning.

A monitored, overriding locking mechanism must
prevent every kind of operation.

WARNING

Risk of injury and product damage from
operation of the external venetian blind
when it is out of sight.

De-energise and lock out the
external venetian blinds.

Do not operate external venetian
blinds during maintenance and
cleaning work.

Disconnect the external venetian
blinds from the automatic control
and/or power supply.

DANGER

Risk of injury and falling!

Do not rest climbing aids against the
product.

Climbing equipment must rest on a solid
foundation and offer good support!
