Troubleshooting

Problems described here without reference to a
qualified specialist or certified electrician may be
resolved independently.
All other problems listed must be handled by a
qualified specialist or certified electrician.
Fault: the motor is not operational
Cause
Remedy
Note
Active wind alarm: the sun sail was
retracted automatically. The sun sail
remains retracted for approx. 20 min-
utes (safety function). If an attempt is
made to extend the sun sail, the sun
sail waves briefly and stops.
Wait approx. 20 minutes and try again.
The thermal protection switch on the
motor was triggered
Wait 10 to 15 minutes and then try
again.
No voltage is applied.
Check the power supply.
Have checked by a certified electrician.
Motor is faulty
Replace the motor.
Replacement by a qualified specialist
Fault: the motor starts briefly, stops for approx. 2 seconds and then continues
Cause

Note
The motor is in setting mode.
Set the limit positions anew.
Adjustment by a qualified specialist
Fault: the fabric does not fully extend or retract
Cause

Note
The motor limit positions are incorrect Readjust the motor.

The pretension of the spring-loaded
shaft is too low.
Increase the pre-tension.

Fault: the sun sail does not retract under windy conditions

The wind sensor is faulty.
Replace the solar weather station.
Replacement by a qualified specialist
The wind speed limit setting is incor-
rect.
Set the wind speed limit value.
