EVERY GRIDDLE NEEDS TO BE SEASONED
BEFORE FIRST USE
The seasoning process will last about 1 to 1½ hours.
Seasoning is an important step to prepare the surface for a natural
nonstick finish.
1. Pre-clean surface with steel wool and detergent.
2. Plug unit into outlet in a well-ventilated area.
3. Switch on the appliance and set to HIGH. Allow to heat until
green READY light is lit.
4. Pour about a tablespoon of corn or peanut oil suitable for frying
in the center of the cooking surface. Using a cotton cloth or
paper towel (synthetic materials will adhere to the surface),
spread the oil evenly and let heat for 5 to 10 minutes, until the
surface loses its initial sheen and appears dry.
5. Repeat step 4 eight times, burnishing the surface with the towel
and decreasing the amount of oil used each time until a smooth,
non-tacky surface has developed.
ADJUSTABLE FEET INSTALLATION
Ensure that all feet are attached correctly before operation of
this griddle.
Your griddle includes four adjustable feet, which are packaged
unattached. Each foot has a screw protruding from the top for
assembly. Locate the four screw holes at each corner of the bottom
housing of the griddle. Insert the screw and turn foot clockwise
until snug.
Repeat for all four feet. The height of the feet can be adjusted by
rotating the bottom of the foot. Ensure that all four feet are adjusted
to the same height to make a level cooking surface.
