Service life of batteries
Use of closed lead batteries at temperatures above 20°C reduces the expected working life.
The table from EUROBATT gives some indication of the approximate working life of the batteries used.

Maintenance
The battery of the UPS has to be recharged in case of UPS is being switched off totally after latest four weeks. It is
sufficient to connect the UPS to an input mains. The recharging time shall be at least 8 hours. We recommend a
recharging time of 24 hours.
The battery is normally maintenance free. If a special battery is in use, please refer to the battery manual of that
particular battery-manufacturer.
The air-inlets of the system on the front- and rear-side must not be covered. A minimal distance of 100mm to any
wall must be kept!
The backup-function of the UPS should be tested every 6 months, by switching off the input mains (please check
about the status of the loads!)
In case of units which cannot be controlled directly, consider the use of a remote control facility.
The lifetime of the built-in fans is normally rated for 20.000hours. Please consider a replacement within that period.
ATTENTION !
All kind of maintenance and/or servicing may be carried out by authorized
personnel only. The UPS has to be isolated.
