Cabling the Firebox
Cable the Firebox to the management station using a serial
cable or over a network using TCP/IP. The recommended
way is using a serial cable.
Using a serial cable
Refer to the Firebox Rear Panel and Cabling for Provision-
ing images on the next page when cabling the Firebox.
•
Use the blue serial cable to connect the Firebox Serial
Port (CONSOLE) to the management station COM
port.
•
Use the red crossover cable to connect the Firebox
trusted interface to the management station Ethernet
port.
•
Plug the power cord into the Firebox power input and
into a power source.
