5.3.1 General
General setting includes the following items. See

•
System Time: This allows the setting of the system time and date.
•
Date Format: (Toggle between three date formats) YYYY-MM-DD, MM-DD-
YYYY, or DD-MM-YYYY.
•
Date Separator: (There are three denotations to separate date) Dot, hyphen,
and forward-slash.
•
Time Format: (There are two types) 24-hour mode, or 12-hour mode.
•
Language: Chinese (simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, Italian,
Japanese, French, Spanish (All languages listed here are optional. Slight
difference maybe found in various series.)
•
HDD Full: (Choose what to do, when the hard disk is full) Stop recording or
rewrite.
•
Pack Duration: Specify recording duration. (Default: 60 minutes)
•
DVR No: when using one remote control to control several DVRs, give the
DVR a number to manage each one.
•
Video Standard: (Two formats) NTSC and PAL.
•
Auto Logout: Set an auto logout interval once a logged-in user remains
inactive for a specified time. Ranges from 0 to 60 minutes. (Default: 10
minutes)
Note:
Since system time is very important, do not modify time casually, unless
there is a need to do so.
After completing setup select the save button, this will go back to the previous
menu.

5.3.2 Compression
Compression settings include the following items. See

Channel: Select the channel.
•
Compression: system supports H.264. Or select from the dropdown list.
(Default: H.264)
•
Resolution: This is the resolution used for recording, this model supports
D1 (480x330), or CIF (240x162). (Default: CIF)
•
Bit rate: system supports two types: CBR and VBR.
•
Bit rate: system supports two types: CBR and VBR.
o
CBR settings can be adjusted from 224 ~ 4096
o
VBR quality settings can be adjusted from 1~ 6
