All CareSoft Elite RC and CareSoft Pro RC water conditioners are factory preset at medium salting.
2
Iron removal may vary depending on form of iron, pH and other local conditions. On waters that are pre-
chlorinated, or where other pre-oxidation occurs, an iron precipitate can form that is too small to be filtered.
3
Unit not tested for capacity at these peak flow rates. Water quality may vary.
*
CSERC and CSPRC units are not certified by WQA.
* All above water softeners are set at “minimum salting” from the factory.
Cabinet dimensions represent the High-Profile cabinet option. Low-Profile cabinets are about one inch shorter in
height than the High-Profile cabinet lid.

Manufacturer recommends the use of coarse solar salt in these water softeners.
CSE and CSP -844, -948, -1044, -1054, -1248, -1354 and CSEC and CSPC -835, -1035 softeners are certified by WQA against NSF/ANSI Standard 44 for the reduction of
hardness as verified and substantiated by test data.
Only the efficiency-rated water softener models have a rated capacity of not less than 3,350 grains of total hardness exchange per pound of salt (based on NaCl) and
shall not deliver more salt or be operated at a sustained maximum service flow rate greater than its listed rating. Efficiency is measured by a laboratory test described
in NSF/ANSI 44. The test represents the maximum possible efficiency the system can achieve after the system has been installed. The operational efficiency is typically
less than the efficiency due to individual application factors including water hardness, water usage, and other contaminants that reduce the softener’s capacity.
These water softeners are not intended to be used for treating water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or
after the system.
