9.5.1
Adding refrigerant
This unit does not require additional charging if tube length does not ex-
ceed 30 m.
If tube length exceeds 30 m (Zubadan) or 10 m (Power Inverter), charge unit
with additional R410A refrigerant, according to the permitted tube lengths
in the chart (see chap. 9.3 and 9.4).
Procedure:
Charge stopped unit with additional refrigerant through the liquid stop
valve after the pipe extensions and indoor unit have been vacuumized.
When unit is in operation, add refrigerant through stop valve using a
safety charger. Do not add refrigerant directly to stop valve.
After charging the unit with refrigerant:
- record the added refrigerant quantity on the service label (attached to
unit)
- and the total refrigerant quantity on the WATERKOTTE type plate.
9.5.2
Insulation
After refrigerant has been added, properly insulate all adapters and tubes.
Use sealant to seal sides of thermal insulation around tube connections, to
prevent water from entering insulation.
