2)
Set the windshield on the fuselage and push it
firmly into position. Use a couple of pieces of masking
tape to hold only the top of the windshield in place for
now.
❑
3)
With the top of the windshield held firmly in
place, push the bottom of the windshield down flush with
the top of the fuselage, making sure that the sides of the
windshield do not buckle. Use several pieces of masking
tape to hold the bottom and sides of the windshield firmly
in place.
❑
4)
Using a pen, mark both sides of the windshield
where it overlaps the fuselage window frames.
❑
5)
Remove the windshield and use a pair of scissors
to cut the sides of the windshield even with the marks you
made. Sand the edges smooth and straight, then reinstall
the windshield to check the fit. See photo # 33 below.

6)
When satisfied with the fit, remove the wind-
shield from the fuselage. Apply a thin bead of Pacer
Formula 560 Canopy Glue to the gluing surfaces of the
windshield. Carefully set the windshield back into place
and realign it. Use pieces of masking tape to hold it se-
curely in place until the glue fully cures - overnight.
☛
Do not use C/A to glue the windshield into place. C/A
will react with the plastic, causing it to fog up.

ALIGNING THE WINDSHIELD
INSTALLING THE WINDSHIELD
INSTALLING THE RECEIVER, FLIGHT
BATTERY AND ESC
❑
1)
Using a modeling knife, remove the covering
from over the two precut air-exit holes. The two holes
are located in the bottom of the fuselage, 3-1/2" behind
the main landing gear wires.
❑
2)
Mount the receiver, flight battery and ESC into
the fuselage using the four pieces of hook & loop mate-
rial provided. Use one piece each of hook & loop
material to hold the receiver and ESC in place. Use the
remaining two pieces to hold the flight battery in place.
See photo # 34 below.
Photo # 34
☛
The ESC is mounted directly to the fuselage side, right
behind the forward bulkhead. The receiver and flight bat-
tery rest on the fuselage floor and are mounted to the sides
of the balsa center brace.
☛
The location of the flight battery is approximate. You
may need to move it fore or aft to balance the airplane in
the next section.
❑
3)
If your ESC comes with an on-off switch and/or
arming switch, mount those to the fuselage side using the
hardware provided with your ESC.
❑
4)
Uncoil the receiver antenna and run it out one
of the air-exit holes in the bottom of the fuselage. Tape
the antenna to the back of the fuselage using a small piece
of clear Scotch tape.
☛
It is okay for the antenna to hang past the back of the
airplane. Do not cut the antenna shorter. Cutting the an-
tenna will drastically reduce the range of the receiver and
an uncontrollable crash will result.
INSTALLING THE PROPELLER
❑
5)
Install the propeller that you purchased for your
motor. If you are using a Gunther propeller, simply push
the propeller firmly onto the motor shaft. If you are using
an APC or other brand propeller, install the propeller along
with the propeller adapter you purchased separately. Make
sure to tighten the set screw in the propeller adapter firmly.
