5. Pass both straps to the
other hand, whilst continuing to
support baby’s weight with your
free hand behind their back.
6. Once you are confident that
baby’s weight is supported by
the hand holding the straps,
release your hand from baby’s
back.
7. Slide your free hand through
the near-side strap.
8. Whilst supporting baby, slide
them round onto the hip, under
the arm which is in the strap.
9. Holding both straps near
the top, continue to slide baby
round to the centre of your back.
10. Grab the second strap with
your free hand.
11. Put hand through strap and
place on shoulder, as with a
rucksack.
