PACKING I-JOISTS:
For every bracket attachment, two T.G.I. joists must be packed, and the attachment point suspended
directly between the joists. (See Figure 3 – Packing T.G.I. joists) If the attachment point is biased toward
either side of center, the weight will not be evenly distributed among the joists. This will decrease the
pullout value of the member.

A spring (saddle) nut can also be used to secure the threaded rod, as shown below.
