PWR100-002
3-4
3.4 FRONT-PANEL INTERFACE
Refer to Figure 3-3 for the basic LCD menu system.
3.4.1 Home Level Screens
1.
The unit should power up in the Home Level Time/Date screen shown as “A” in Figure
3-3. If the time/date has not been set by the network, then this screen should be displayed
as [NO TIME/DATE SET].
This screen will display in the following format:
[HH
:
MM MM/DD/YY]
The Hours (HH) and Minutes (MM) are separated by a colon, which blinks to indicate
seconds. The date is shown as the Month (MM), Day of the month (DD), and the last 2
digits of the year (YY).
After a schedule has been downloaded, and is active, the screen display will change by
adding an asterisk between the minutes and months, as: [HH
:
MM * MM/DD/YY]
This shows the download was successful, and at least 1 schedule is active. At least 1
active schedule is required to play spots under network control.
2.
The LCD should return to the time/date screen after push buttons are inactive for 1
minute.
The time/date screen is also designated on the menu map with an “A”. After pressing
<ENTER> to cause something to happen, such as to end recording, or play or delete a
spot, or to change parity, the display will return to the time/date screen. This is shown
with the “A” designator. The exception to this is when changing microphone sensitivity,
pressing <ENTER> returns the unit to the ‘Microphone Sensitivity’ screen.
3.
If there is an Alarm or Front-Panel Message Screen to display, then that alarm or message
screen will show in place of the Time/Date screen. For example, pressing <SELECT>
from the Alarm or Front-Panel Message screen moves user to Unit Serial Number Screen.
4.
If there are requirements to show an Alarm
and
a Front-Panel Message Screen, then only
one is shown, the priority going to the Alarm screen. Priorities within the alarm screens
are given below. They are also shown on the Menu Map, Fig. 3-3.
3.4.2 Alarm Screens
Alarm screens may either clear automatically when the unit determines that the alarm situation is
no longer occurring, or may be cleared by pressing <ENTER> or <SELECT>. The exception is
the Schedule Alarm, which can only be cleared by Network Control. Because this error goes to
the heart of the Diamond unit’s purpose, you must call the Network for resolution of this
problem.
