For cases where advanced troubleshooting is required, contact a Weidmüller engineer who can provide you
with an encrypted script file. The encrypted script file can capture additional details on the system.
To run the script, browse to and select the script file using
Browse
and click
Run Script
after you have filled
in the following details:

button to select the Weidmüller diagnosis script file.
Export diagnostic results
Select if you want to export:

to a file

to a TFTP server
TFTP server IP
If you have selected the TFTP option, specify the IP address of the TFTP server.
Diagnostic script name
Displays the name of the script file
Last start time
Displays the start time of the last script execution
Last end time
Displays the end time of the last script execution
Diagnostic status
Displays the progress of the system diagnostics
Diagnostic result
Displays the result of the system diagnostics.
If you have selected the export
to a file
option, the system log is encrypted and
packed into a file. The limit on the log file size is 1 MB. When the size of the log file
reaches 1MB another file is created. A maximum of 5 files (5MB) will be kept for
downloading. When the number of files exceeds five, the oldest file is deleted.
Save Configuration
The following figure shows how the IE-WL-VL-AP-BR-CL stores the setting changes into volatile and
non-volatile memory. All data stored in volatile memory will disappear when the IE-WL-VL-AP-BR-CL is
shutdown or rebooted. Because the IE-WL-VL-AP-BR-CL starts up and initializes with the settings stored in
flash memory, all new changes must be saved to flash memory before restarting the IE-WL-VL-AP-BR-CL.
This also means the new changes will not work unless you run either the
Save Configuration
function or the
Restart
function.
