DHCP Server (for AP/Client-Router mode only)
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a networking protocol that allows administrators to assign
temporary IP addresses to network computers by
“
leasing
”
an IP address to a user for a limited amount of time,
instead of assigning permanent IP addresses.
The IE-WL-VL-AP-BR-CL can act as a simplified DHCP server and easily assign IP addresses to your DHCP
clients by responding to the DHCP requests from the client ends. The IP-related parameters you set on this
page will also be sent to the client.
You can also assign a static IP address to a specific client by entering its MAC address. IE-WL-VL-AP-BR-CL
provides a
Static DHCP mapping
list with up to 16 entities. Be reminded to check the
Active
check box for
each entity to activate the setting.
