Safety notes
Read this document carefully before beginning the installation.
Installation, maintenance and repair of this enclosure may only be carried out by quali-
fied, authorised personnel (in accordance with IEC/EN 60079-17 and IEC/EN 60079-19,
IEC/EN 60079-14), whose level of knowledge also extends to the various degrees of
protection and installation practices, and who is also familiar with the relevant guide-
lines and provisions as well as the general principles of area classification.
Make sure that the supplied documentation is accessible to operating staff at all times.
Pay attention to the information on the type plate of the enclosure, including the
protection class(es), gas group and temperature class.
Loss of explosion protection due to incorrect installation.
Twisting and straining of enclosures or covers can cause leakage.
• Make sure that the enclosure is only installed on a flat surface.
• Ensure that the enclosure and cover are not installed under any strain.
Potential crushing hazard.
• When shutting the enclosure, keep hands and fingers clear.
Risk of burns due to hot surfaces.
• Before commencing work, check the temperature of the enclosure to avoid burns.
If necessary, use heat-resistant gloves.
Loss of explosion protection due to contaminated surfaces.
A dust layer of more than 5 mm on the enclosure surface can lead to the enclosure
becoming overheated.
• Make sure that enclosure surfaces are cleaned regularly.
