Basic safety instructions
2.1 Intended use
GRIPKIT CR PLUS was developed for reliably gripping and holding of work pieces or
other objects and is intended for mounting on a robot arm. The requirements of the
applicable directives as well as the assembly and operation instructions in this docu-
ment must be observed and adhered to. GRIPKIT CR PLUS may only be used within its
defined operating limits and only for industrial applications.
Any other use is considered to be improper, e.g. if the gripping module is used for
pressing, curring, lifting, punching or as a clamping or guidance aid for other tools. The
manufacturer is not liable for any damage resulting from this improper use.
2.2
Environmental and operating conditions
GRIPKIT CR PLUS and the included gripping module may only be used in the context of
its defined application parameters. Make sure, that the module and the gripper fingers
are at sufficient size for the application. The environment has to be clean and the ambi-
ent temperature must not exceed the specifications in this document. In addition, the
environment must be free from splash water and vapors as well as from abrasion or
processing dust, except the used gripping module is especially designed for contami-
nated environments.
2.3
Controlled production
GRIPKIT CR PLUS represents the state of the art and the recognized safety rules at the
time of delivery. However, it can present risks if, for example:

GRIPKIT CR PLUS is not used in accordance with its intended purpose
•
GRIPKIT CR PLUS is modified, or not installed or maintained properly
•
The EC Machinery Directive, the VDE directives, the safety and accident-preven-
tion regulations valid at the usage site, or the safety and installation notes are
not observed

Provide protective equipment per EC Machinery Directive where required.

Constructional changes, attachments or modifications
Additional drill holes, threads or attachments that are not offered as accessories by
