Repair
9.5.1
Replacing the drive motor
1. Disconnect the motor.
2. Remove the cover of the toothed belt box.
Crushing injuries
Fingers can be crushed when reaching between toothed belt and toothed belt pulley or
drive pinion. Do not reach between parts.
3. Only loosen the four fixing screws for the motor flange.
4. Slightly tilt the motor and pull the toothed belt off of the drive pinion.
Injuries due to a falling motor.
Without fixing screws the motor is not securely supported and can fall. Prior to unscrewing
the fixing screws the motor must be safeguarded against falling. A falling motor can crush
extremities.
5. Unscrew the four fixing screws for the motor flange and take off the motor.
6. Dismount the drive pinion of the old motor and mount on the new motor.
7. Place the new motor on and screw in the four fixing screws for the motor flange, but
do not tighten them yet.
8. Pull on the toothed belt.
9. Tighten the four fixing screws for the motor flange.
10.Connect the motor and check direction of rotation.
The direction of machine transport is counterclockwise. If the motor has
the wrong direction of travel the workpieces can collide.
Crushing injuries
Reaching between workpiece trains can result in the crushing of fingers. Do not reach
between parts.
11.Cover plate of the toothed belt box
12.Perform a trial run.
