ce and spray evenly from left to right and up and down
with slow movements.
Do not spray at an angle, as
this will cause the paint to form droplets on the surfa-
ce.
When spraying large areas, use a correct working
plan (11).
Spray moving the arms and not the wrist.
Control the speed of the paint spray gun to achieve
a smooth, regular movement.
Moving too quickly will
cause the paint layer to be too thin.
Similarly, moving
too slowly will cause the paint layer to be too thick.
Apply the coats of paint one by one, leaving them to
dry for the times indicated by the manufacturer.
NEEDLE, NOZZLE AND REGULATOR CHANGE.
Unscrew and remove the spray direction control (A).
Unscrew and remove the nozzle regulator (E). Subse-
quently, pull back the fluid-flow needle until it is comple
-
tely removed. Using the wrench provided, unscrew and
remove the fluid-flow nozzle from the head, then screw
in the new fluid-flow nozzle. Insert the new fluid-flow
needle. Then screw in the nozzle regulator (E). Screw
in the new spray direction control (A).
IMPORTANT.
Using products containing halogenated hydrocar-
bons may cause chemical reactions that lead to
explosions.
When using solvents and detergents
containing halogenated hydrocarbons, such as
1,1,1-trichloroethane and methylene chlorate,
chemical reactions may occur in the tank, gun and
galvanised parts (when 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane co-
mes into contact with water droplets it produces
chlorohydric acid).
We recommend using products
that do not contain these elements.
Before using
the paint spray gun and its accessories, these
must be cleaned with cleaning solvent, to remove
the protective film applied before packing.
Acid or
alkaline products must not be used to clean the
paint spray gun.
MAINTENANCE.
Drain all condensation from the air compressed
tanks and hoses (12). To do so, open the decom-
pression taps and other drainage valves in the
tanks.
IMPORTANT.
The paint spray gun has been designed for a long
working life with minimum maintenance.
Optimum
use depends on correct care of the paint spray gun
and regular cleaning.
The paint spray gun may be
cleaned effectively using compressed air.
If com-
pressed air is not available, use a brush to remo-
ve dust from the paint spray gun.
Cetain cleaning
agents and solvents damage plastic parts, among
them are gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorina-
ted cleaning solvents, ammonia and household
cleaners containing ammonia.
Do not use any of
these to clean the paint spray gun.
