2.2 Installing the hardware
Before installing the hardware components, read and observe the safety information.
A quick installation guide can be downloaded from the WERMA homepage.
2.2.1 Safety information
Make sure that installation and cabling of the WERMA-StockSAVER devices are carried only by
qualified electricians.
Only use the supplied components.
Make sure that the configuration of the WERMA-StockSAVER software is carried out only by an
IT expert.
Before maintenance work, disconnect the power supply to the WERMA-StockSAVER devices.
If started containers are pushed back from the material withdrawal side in the production logi-
stics process, discuss special measures with WERMA to avoid irregularities during material requi-
sition and analysis.
If the WERMA-StockSAVER system is not used, store components in their original packaging.
2.2.1.1 Operator’s obligations
Observe local safety regulations.
The connection must only be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with the
operating instructions and with the standards and guidelines applicable in the area of use.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that local safety regulations are adhered to, and for moni-
toring and inspecting the WERMA-StockSAVER system and the output results achieved with it. The
operator must thoroughly test the system for usability in the specific situation before starting pro-
ductive use. The operator is obliged to take suitable precautions if the system is not properly wor-
king in full or in part (e.g. through data backup, documentation of software use, fault diagnostics,
regular checking of results, emergency planning). It is the operator’s responsibility to ensure the
correct functioning of the working environment of the system.
