6.2.2 XML interface
Via the XML interface, it is possible to automatically import material master data from other app-
lications and to provide goods movements to other applications. The exchange of data is based
on XML files and is carried out automatically via a Windows service.
The XML interface consists of two components, which can be enabled and disabled separately.

Material master record
import
Automatically compare material master data in WERMA-
StockSAVER with the master records of the other application.
Material movement export
Exports each warehouse stock change to an XML file.
As a rule, this is the withdrawal from or placement in (reple-
nishment of) a bin in the location. An entry is also exported for
configuration changes (e.g. change to the bus cabling).
To ensure correct data import, the XML file must meet particular requirements for the
material master record import.
6.2.2.1 Configuring the XML interface
The XML interface is set up on the (server) PC on which the WERMA-StockSAVER server ser-
vice is executed.
Import and export are performed by the interface service, which is executed on the
WERMA-StockSAVER server service.
For optimum availability of the XML interface, WERMA recommends:
– Saving the export file on a local data medium (not on a network drive).
– Setting up an exception in the virus scanner for the export file so that the export file is
not completely scanned on every export.
– Setting up write authorisation for the WERMA-StockSAVER server service for the direc-
tory. The WERMA-StockSAVER server service is executed under Windows user account
