Rotorsound
With the Rotorsound ON button, the drawbars are routed via the rotor
effect. The rotor is a simulation of a special amplifier with mechanically
rotating loudspeakers. The rotation of the loudspeakers physically creates a
doppler effect, which has an effect in a complex frequency and phase vibrato.
The Slow-Fast button regulates the rotation speed of the "virtual" speakers. In the Slow setting, you you
hear a floating chorus sound, while Fast creates a "swirling" vibrato-like effect. Particularly impressive results
are achieved by switching between Slow and Fast, in which the complex processes of start-up and
deceleration processes come into play.
Phase-Vibrato
Here you can optionally switch a vibrato (phase vibrato) to the sound.
The OX7 provides the three versions Normal, Chorus
and Celeste, which can be selected by pressing the
button multiple times.
The vibrato normally runs at fast speed. As a special feature, the OX7 can also switch the vibrato to Slow. The
older analog and the first "semi-digital" WERSI organs had no rotor but a vibrato, which could also be set to
slow.
Percussion
Percussion on/off
The percussion effect triggers a percussive organ tone at each key press. As a result, the sound becomes
more concise. The attack is clearly highlighted.
Percussions Drawbars
The OX7 offers you the two standard foot layers 2nd (4') and 3rd (2 2/3) as well as the possibility to freely
select the percussion bases completely via the nine percussion drawbars (User).
Percussion Mono or Polyphone
The percussion of the older electromagnetic organ was mostly only monophone playable, which also
produced very interesting playing styles. If the percussion is switched to polyphone, several tones of
percussion will be heard simultaneously.
Length of Percussion
The length of the percussion can be adjusted in three stages from short and crisp (short) over a medium to
long.
