Chord recognition
You can choose between several modes for chord recognition in the professional display. A detailed
description can be found in the chapter in the Programming Manual SONIC. If the chord recognition is
switched to the pedal, only a limited selection is available.
Easy 1
A very simple (but limited) control of the automatic accompaniment, which,
despite its simplicity, adheres to musical specifications by using only sounds
contained in the chord (comparable to the single finger WERSI mode – here
only fewer possibilities / variants).
After entering 1 up to 3 keys, only the harmonies major (fundamental note),
major-septime (fundamental note + septime), minor (fundamental note +
minor third), minor septime (fundamental note + minor tread + septime) and
major major7 (fundamental note + large septime) are recognized.
Easy 2 (Yam)
Also a very simple (but limited) control of the automatic accompaniment,
which, however, requires a shutdown of at least the lower manual sound due
to the input of dissonances (by sometimes non-chord notes).
After entering up to 2 notes only the four harmonies major (fundamental
note), major-septime (fundamental note + a white key left), minor
(fundamental note + a black key left), minor-septime (fundamental note + a
white + a black key left) are recognized
WERSI Singlefinger
A simple (and musically more meaningful) control of the automatic
accompaniment, which is matched by entering up to three matching chord
notes.
The harmonies major (fundamental note), major-septime (fundamental note
+ septime), minor (fundamental note + minor third), minor-septime
(fundamental note + minor tread + septime), major major7 (fundamental note
+ large septime), minor major7 (fundamental v + minor + large septime) and
others are recognized.
Chord mode
This companion mode is a very extensive mode in which a large number of
chords can be implemented in the companion area.
Chord mode with Bass
The same chords are accepted as in Advanced Chords mode.
However, in this mode, the lowest note in the chord range (= the deepest
tone of your gripped chord) is interpreted as a bass note. So you can use it (by
choosing your chord inversions) to force precise bass runs in your
accompaniment.
Piano mode
In this mode, all played note and chords are recognized across the keyboard
and inserted into the accompanying harmony recognition. However,
intelligent programming ensures that individually played (1 to 2-part) melody
runs are not used for accompanying harmony recognition in both the solo and
bass areas.
Organ Player mode
In this mode, the bass track (Acc-BASS) is automatically removed from the
accompaniment and must be played by yourself. The accompaniment tracks
(Acc1 - Acc5) are only played as long as a chord is pressed and held in the
accompaniment area.
Intervall mode
This mode basically corresponds to the chord mode. However, with fewer
than 3 keys in the chord range, only these note are added to your
accompanying pattern.
WERSI Pedal
(nur bei Pedal)
An extremely simple control of the automatic accompaniment via an
(optional) foot-bass pedal, which allows only 3 harmony variants major, minor
and septime. It is sufficient to enter the basic note in the bass pedal and to
operate one of the two switches on the expression pedal.
