Import of new sounds
With the ability to import up to 512 sounds into your OAX instrument, you can use the OAS (*.sts) and AKAI
(*. P) formats. Thus, the AKAI sounds and the sounds released for the OAS system can be transferred to the
OAX system.
The operation is quite simple.
1.
In the sound list, below the Search button, there is the IMPORT
button.
2.
Connect the USB stick with the sounds to your instrument.
3.
Now press the IMPORT display button and switch to the USB stick.
4.
Select the desired sound on the USB stick and confirm with
IMPORT.
5.
The sound is converted and selected directly.
Notes:
-
The imported sounds can be found on the sound buttons or in the sound list under User Sounds und
Imported.
-
After the sound has been integrated into the OAX system, you will surely need to make a few small
adjustments. The imported sound may be too loud and you need to adjust the volume and you want
to adjust more reverb or echo.
-
The Easy Editor for loaded sounds can directly in the sound list.
You can make the changes in Easy Sound Edit. For a detailed description, see the Programming Manual
SONIC in the chapter "Edit Sounds". The following settings are available for imported Sounds.
Under Manual Controller, you can first adjust the basic volume and panorama. Then we continue with so-
called send effects. So how much of Reverb 1 and Reverb 2 you give to the sound and how high is the chorus
and echo. And it can set Attack and Release. Both controllers are in the middle and the values can be
shortened or extended from there.
With the sound controllers you will find an equalizer with bass and treble. A filter that is always fully open in
normal state. With WaveStart, you can cut off the start of a sound. So if a sound has too strong attack, you
can defuse it with WaveStart. And we have attack and release. With Attack, you make the sound softer at the
beginning and release create a slow ending.
