110-volt charger.
• Before first use, charge the battery using either the 110-volt or
12-volt charger.
BATTERY GAUGE
The design of the West Marine 10 Million Candlepower Rechargeable Spotlight
includes a battery gauge that provides an instant readout of the internal
battery level. Simply push the ON/OFF button next to the gauge and the display
will light. The gauge consists of five bars. A full charge is indicated when the
first four bars are lit. As the battery is depleted, the bars will extinguish one by
one. The fifth bar will light briefly when the gauge is turned on, then will light
again only when the battery is depleted.
12-VOLT AND 110-VOLT CHARGING
Recharge the battery immediately after discharging. Always store in a charged
state. Recharge every three months even if not used.
110-Volt Charging:
Plug the charger into any standard 110-volt receptacle.
Plug the connector from the charger into the single pin receptacle located on
the side of the housing. The red LED indicator will light indicating the unit is
charging. Charge until battery gauge indicates a full charge (three bars lit is
maximum charge with 110-volt charger), usually about 10-12 hours.
12-Volt Charging:
Plug the charger into any 12-volt cigarette lighter style
receptacle. Plug the connector from the charger into the two-pin receptacle
located at the back of the handle. Charge until battery gauge indicates a full
charge (four bars lit), usually about 1 hour.
SPOTLIGHT OPERATION
Turn light on using the three-position switch at the front of the spotlight
handle; first position is off, second position is low beam (extends battery life),
and third position is high beam. Your spotlight can be operated either with
or without the battery. To remove the battery, first remove the two screws
holding the rubber cover on the back of the spotlight, then slide the battery
compartment cover down to access the battery. Remove the battery and
disconnect the attached wires by sliding spades off the battery terminals.
To operate without battery simply plug 10' Power Cord into the two-pin
receptacle on the back of the handle. An extra external 12-volt battery is
supplied with this spotlight. This battery may be used in tandem with or
separately from the internal battery. Connect the extra battery to the spotlight
using the 12-volt charging cord.
NOTE:
If charger does not operate, check the receptacle; make sure it
is clean and be certain the plug is fully inserted. Check the fuse in the
12-volt receptacle. If the unit fails to operate, test the battery to make sure
a charge remains.
WARNINGS:
BATTERY PERFORMANCE WILL BE GREATLY IMPROVED IF
UNIT IS USED INTERMITTENTLY. PROLONGED OR CONTINUOUS USE WILL
DIMINISH BATTERY LIFE AND CONTINUOUS USE IN EXCESS OF 10 MINUTES
WILL PUT AN EXCESSIVE DRAIN ON THE BATTERY AND MAY HARM UNIT.
BULB REPLACEMENT
The spotlight bezel is removable for easy bulb access. Remove the four screws
from the rubber bezel cover, lift off the cover and plastic bezel beneath, and
carefully remove the glass lens. Using a soft cloth, remove the reflector from
the housing to access the bulb. Do not touch the reflector or the bulb with
your fingers, as oils from your skin may damage the finish. Remove the small
wire clip that secures the bulb to the reflector then rotate the bulb 10 degrees
counterclockwise to release. Replace the bulb and reassemble in a like
manner. The bulb used in this spotlight is commonly available at auto parts
and discount stores, or you may order directly from West Marine.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
If this unit is either damaged or, after many years of dependable service, the
battery in your rechargeable spotlight will no longer accept a charge, PLEASE
exercise good judgement in disposal of this sealed lead acid battery. We
recommend that you check your local and state regulations for disposal of
lead acid batteries.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This product is warranted to be free of materials or workmanship defects
for a period of one year after original purchase. This Limited Warranty is
subject to proper installation and operation within published specifications
and covers normal consumer use. It does not cover damage that occurs in
shipment or that results from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect,
or commercial use.
Please return a defective product to a West Marine store or repair center
(postage prepaid). Before warranty performance will be rendered, you must
submit a purchase receipt or some other proof of date of purchase. West
Marine, at its sole discretion, will repair or replace the product for new or a
comparable rebuilt product or parts, issue a credit or send a refund for any
product determined by West Marine to be defective and covered under this
Limited Warranty.

AND SUCCESSORS IN INTEREST, AND YOUR SOLE REMEDY, WHETHER IN
CONTRACT, UNDER ANY WARRANTY, IN TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE),
IN STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE RETURN OF
THE AMOUNT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU, AND UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WEST MARINE NOR ITS PARENT, SUBSIDIARIES,
AFFILIATES, ASSIGNEES, LICENSEES OR SUCCESSORS IN INTEREST BE
LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY,
PROPERTY DAMAGE, DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF EQUIPMENT, LOST PROFITS
OR REVENUE, COSTS OF RENTING REPLACEMENTS AND OTHER
ADDITIONAL EXPENSES, EVEN IF WEST MARINE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF
THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE PRICE STATED FOR THE

INDICATEUR DE NIVEAU DE BATTERIE
La conception du projecteur West Marine rechargeable, d’une intensité de 10
millions de bougies, incorpore un indicateur qui fournit la lecture instantanée
du niveau d’énergie de la batterie interne. Appuyez simplement sur le bouton
EN MARCHE / ARRÊT près de l’indicateur de niveau et l’affichage s’allumera.
L’indicateur comporte cinq barres. La pleine charge est indiquée quand les
quatre premières barres sont illuminées. Avec l’affaiblissement de la batterie, les
barres seront éteintes à tour de rôle. La cinquième barre s’illuminera brièvement
quand l’indicateur est allumé, et s’allumera de nouveau ensuite quand la batterie
est épuisée.
CHARGEMENT 12 VOLTS ET 110 VOLTS
Recharger la batterie immédiatement après l’épuisement. Toujours ranger le
projecteur avec la batterie chargée. La recharger à chaque période de trois mois
même quand elle n’a pas été utilisée.
Chargement 110 Volts :
Brancher le chargeur dans toute prise de courant
standard de 110 volts. Brancher le connecteur du chargeur dans la prise femelle
à broche unique située sur le côté du boîtier du projecteur. Le témoin rouge de
lampe à diodes (LED) s’allumera, indiquant que l’unité est en chargement. Charger
jusqu’à ce que l’indicateur du niveau de charge indique le chargement complet
(trois barres allumées représentent la charge maximale avec le chargeur de 100
volts), usuellement après 12 heures.
Chargement 12 Volts :
Brancher le chargeur dans toute prise de courant 12 volts
de type allume-cigare. Brancher le connecteur du chargeur dans la prise femelle à
deux broches située à l’arrière de la poignée du projecteur. Charger jusqu’à ce que
l’indicateur du niveau de charge indique le chargement complet (quatre barres
allumées), usuellement après 1 heure.
USAGE DU PROJECTEUR
Allumer le projecteur en utilisant le commutateur à trois positions à l’avant de la
poignée. La première position est à l’arrêt, la seconde est l’éclairage de courte
portée (pour prolonger la durée de service de la batterie) et la troisième, l’éclairage
de longue portée. Votre projecteur peut être utilisé avec ou sans batterie. Pour
enlever la batterie, retirer en premier les deux vis qui retiennent le couvercle en
caoutchouc sur l’arrière du projecteur et glisser ensuite le couvercle du
compartiment de batterie vers le bas pour accéder à la batterie. Retirer la batterie
et débrancher en détachant les lamelles des bornes de la batterie. Pour utiliser le
projecteur sans la batterie, branchez simplement le cordon d’alimentation d’une
longueur de 10 pi (3 m) dans la prise de courant femelle à deux broches à l’arrière
du projecteur. Une batterie de 12 volts extra est fournie avec ce projecteur. Cette
batterie peut être utilisée en tandem avec ou indépendamment de la batterie
interne. Brancher la batterie extra sur le projecteur en utilisant le cordon de
chargement 12 volts.
REMARQUE :
Si le chargeur ne fonctionne pas, vérifier la prise de courant;
s’assurer qu’elle est propre et que la fiche est insérée à fond. Vérifier le fusible
dans la prise de courant de 12 volts. Si l’unité ne fonctionne pas, faire un test de
la batterie pour vous assurer que la charge demeure toujours.

REMPLACEMENT DE L’AMPOULE
L’enjoliveur du projecteur peut être enlevé pour l’accès facile à l’ampoule. Retirer
les quatre vis qui retiennent le couvercle en caoutchouc de l’enjoliveur, soulever le
couvercle et l’enjoliveur en plastique au-dessous, et enlever délicatement la lentille
en verre. En utilisant un linge doux, retirer le réflecteur hors du boîtier pour accéder
à l’ampoule. Ne pas toucher le réflecteur ou l’ampoule avec vos doigts car l’huile
de votre peau pourrait endommager le fini. Retirer la petite broche qui retient
l’ampoule sur le réflecteur et pivoter l’ampoule par 10 degrés dans le sens
contraire des aiguilles d’une montre pour la dégager. Remplacer l’ampoule et
réassembler en ordre inverse. L’ampoule utilisée dans ce projecteur est
communément disponible dans les magasins de pièces d’automobiles et dans
les magasins de rabais, et vous pouvez aussi commander chez West Marine.
POUR DISPOSER DES BATTERIES USÉES
Si cette unité est endommagée, ou si après plusieurs années de service sûr,
votre batterie projecteur rechargeable n’accepta plus le chargement, S’IL VOUS
PLAÎT user de sens commun pour disposer de cette batterie à l’acide scellé
au plomb. Nous vous recommandons de vérifier la réglementation locale et
provinciale auprès des autorités concernant la disposition des batteries à l’acide
scellé au plomb.
GARANTIE LIMITÉE
