Operation
Explanation of the Operating Elements
Compressed Air Coupler (F): The drill is equipped with a R¼“ compressed
air coupler. For safe working do not permanently connect the drill to the
compressed air hose but rather use a quick coupler. For a tight connection
wrap the threads in one or two layers with Teflon tape. Hint: „Professional
Users” of compressed air tools do not connect the quick coupler directly to
the tool but install a permanent leader hose of about 30 cm length between tool
and quick coupler.
Air Micrometer Screw (G): With the air micrometer screw the interior pressure of
the spray gun can be set. Normally the micrometer screw should be opened all
the way, and then the interior pressure of the gun is equal to the input pressure.
Paint Flow (C): The flow of paint can be regulated with the paint flow regulator.
The best flow rate depends on the material and its viscosity. Usually the regulat-
ing screw is open all the way. Turn the regulator counter clockwise until you can
see the thread.
Adjusting the Paint Fan (D): The paint fan can be set for a narrow or a wide fan of
paint emitted by the spray gun. Turn the regulator counter clockwise for a wide
fan and turn it clockwise for a narrow, round fan.
The Nozzle (H): By turning the nozzle you can
set a wide fan from a vertical to a horizontal
pattern. In position 1 the fan is vertical and in
position 2 the fan is horizontal.
