small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Inserting the Batteries
1. The battery compartment (8) is located at the back of the radio. Loosen the
screw on the battery compartment lid and take it off.
2. Insert 4 batteries of type 1.5 V LR14 C observing the right polarity. You will
find the polarity symbols in the battery compartment.
3. Reattach the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.
4. Decreasing volume and poor reception normally indicate deteriorating
batteries. Replace the batteries or use a suitable power adaptor.

AM/FM Reception
1. Set the ON/OFF switch (9) to the desired frequency band; either to AM or to
FM.

Operation with the Power Adaptor
1. If you want to operate the radio by using the power adaptor, use a 6 V DC
power adaptor with an output current of at least 500 mA. The plug must be
equipped with a central positive pole.
2. A suitable power adaptor is available from
Westfalia
under the article number
11 76 22.
3. On the right side of the housing there is the power socket (7) sealed up by a
rubber covering. The batteries are disconnected when the plug is inserted
and the radio is powered from the power adaptor.
4. Please keep in mind that the radio is not splash proof while a plug is inserted
into the socket and the rubber cover is open. Water may enter through the
socket, and additionally most power adaptors are only intended to be used
indoors.
