Operation
1. Turn the grinding machine on with the ON/OFF switch (7). In Position
I
the
machine is switched on. In position
O
the machine is switched off. Both
the grinding wheel and the sanding belt are simultaneously driven by the
motor.
2. When using the unit for the first time, operate it for 5 minutes without load.
3. Use the work piece support to reinforce the work piece. Without
reinforcement you easily can loose control over the work piece and the
work piece even can be thrown from your hands. Never hold the work
piece in a sharp angle against the rotating direction of the grinding wheel.
This can result in a kickback.
The work piece may become very hot during grinding. This may lead to a
change in the material properties of the work piece. Therefore, allow the
work piece to cool down while grinding.
Trueing the Grinding Wheels
After extended use, the performance of the
wheels may deteriorate or the grinding
surfaces may become untrue.
1. With the conditioner you can true the
grinding wheels. Turn on the grinder
and hold the conditioner against the
grinding wheel as shown.
2. Check in short intervals whether the
surface is satisfactory or the process
must be continued.
