Safety Notes
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Read this manual carefully and use the iron only according to this manual.
Make sure the operating voltage stated on the type label corresponds to the
power mains.
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the unit, unless they are supervised for their safety by a qualified person
or are briefed by the responsible person how to use the unit.
Operate the iron with the same amount of decalcified water and tap water. For
operating the unit, use water only. Do not fill any additives into the water tank.
Keep the iron out of the reach of children and do not point the iron towards
people or animals while it is connected to power mains. Risk of burn!
The iron should always be turned to the lowest position before plugging or
unplugging from an outlet.
Do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
Do not leave the iron sitting on the sole while it is switched on. Do not leave
the iron unattended while it is plugged in.
Only use and reset the iron on a stable surface. When placing the iron on its
stand, make sure to place the stand on a stable surface.
Never yank the cord to disconnect from an outlet, instead grasp the plug and
pull to disconnect.
Do not allow the cord to touch any hot surfaces.
Let the iron cool down completely before storing.
Always disconnect the iron from the outlet when filling with water or emptying
or while not in use.
Do not operate the iron if it has been dropped, the power cord has been
damaged or any other kind of damage appears. Have it repaired by a qualified
technician.
Be careful to keep children from pulling on the power cord while the iron is in
use. Ensure that the cable does not become a tripping hazard.
Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not contain
any parts serviceable by you. Contact a qualified technician or our customer
support department.
