Operation 

Before first Use 

Remove all packaging from the iron and the base. Do not leave packaging 
materials lying around; plastic bags may become a deadly toy for small children. 

Carefully read this manual and operate the steam iron only as described in the 
manual. 

Familiarize yourself with the proper usage of the operating elements before using 
the unit for the first time. 

Water Tank (7) 

ƒ

  For removing the water tank, lightly press the water 

tank lock (8) under the water tank inwards. Hold the 
base with one hand and pull the water tank out of the 
base. 

ƒ

  Fill water only up to the MAX marking on the water 

tank. The capacity is 1500 ml. We recommend filling 
the same amount of tap water and decalcified water 
into the water tank. Do not fill any additives into the 
water tank. 

ƒ

  Place the water tank horizontally into the base and press the tank completely 

inwards until it locks visibly and audibly. 

Filter Cartridge (9) 

ƒ

  The filter cartridge inside the water tank protects the steam iron from 

calcification. Furthermore, additives in the water can be reduced, so clean 
and evenly produced steam will be formed. 

ƒ

  The filter cartridge fits only in one position into the opening of the water tank. 

Only operate the steam iron with inserted filter cartridge in order to protect the 
steam iron from calcification and possible damages. 

ƒ

  If the filter cartridge is used frequently, replace the cartridge every 2 or 3 

months. 

ƒ

  If the filter cartridge becomes red resp. auburn, replace the filter cartridge. 

You can order under the article no. 66 65 94 a new replacement filter car-
tridge.
