Rinse the pans under hot water and dry well. Before using, rub the coating
lightly with edible oil or shortening.
Use the cooking zone whose diameter corresponds to the diameter of the
cookware.
Using the Pots
Only use the highest setting for cooking food with a high liquid content and
afterwards turn down to middle or low energy supply. When cooking water-
reduced food, use low energy setting and avoid removing the lid during the
cooking process.
First, bring water to a boil and add salt. Adding salt in cold water might
damage the bottom of the pot.
If you want to fry into a pot, use a tall pot and do not fill more than half with
fat. Heat up the fat to max. temperature of 200° and do not cover the pot with
a lid.
Using the Pans
When frying with fat, always put fat into the empty cookware and turn to high
energy supply. When the fat begins to some lightly, place the food to be fried
into the pan. This way you avoid overheating the non-stick coating.
When frying without fat, heat up the pan to medium temperature at most and
make sure not to overheat the pan and the food to be fried.
Using the Steam Insert
Use the steam insert for steaming and blanching vegetable, fish, poultry and
potatoes. Vitamins and nutrients remain in the food and the liquid drains off
very quickly due to the perforated bottom.
When using the glass lid, you will be able to cook by sight without wasting
energy by needlessly lifting up the lid.
Cleaning
Do not allow food residue to dry on the cookware. Simply wipe out the
cookware with kitchen towel or clean the cookware with hot water and deter-
gent. Preferably, remove food and soak the remnants in the cookware in a bit
of water and detergent while it is still warm.
Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners which contain sand and do not
clean the cookware with the abrasive side of sponges.
When cleaning the cookware in the dishwasher, remove the cookware from
the dishwasher and dry well. By doing this you will avoid stains.
Calciferous spots on the bottom of the pot can be easily removed with a
boiling water-and-vinegar solution.
