Safety Notes
The winch is not suitable for lifting loads! It is only suitable for pulling and
moving loads.
The electric winch must be mounted on a vehicle by a qualified workshop
only. To mount the winch, use only bolts and lashing devices which can bear
the involved loads.
The winch is not designed for industrial hoisting applications or for
continuous operation.
The winch must only be operated with 12 V DC.
Do not overload the winch.
The winch is intended for intermittent operation only. Keep the pulling time
as short as possible in order to avoid damages. The short time operation for
the winch is minutes.
Moving persons with the winch is prohibited.
When working with the winch wear suitable safety gloves, preferably use
heavy leader gloves.
Keep away your hands from the fairlead and the rope thimble. There is risk
of entrapment! When unrolling the steel cable, do not grasp the rope thimble
with your hand but use the strap (7) or a shackle.
While the steel cable is under load do not stand directly behind or over the
winch or between winch and load. Always stand sidewise, in an angle of 90°
to the winch. Keep a safe distance of at least 1.5 m to the winch when in
operation. If the steel cable tears under load, it may whiplash violently. Stay
out of the danger zone and make sure no other persons are endangered.
Keep children and uninvolved persons out of the working area.
When pulling a vehicle make sure no persons are sitting in the vehicle and
keep uninvolved persons clear of the vehicle to be pulled.
Do not go across or under the steel cable when the winch is in operation.
During operation, keep your hands away from all moving parts.
Under load at least three turns of steel cable must remain on the winch
drum. Do not unroll the cable beyond the red marking. Stop operating the
winch when the red marking becomes visible.
