Safety Notes
Make sure the clutch knob (1) is securely engaged prior to operate the
winch. Never try to disengage the clutch knob while pulling a load.
To fasten the load, only use suitable lashing devices. For hooking the steel
cable on the load, only use safe and firm mounting points. When using belts
or a chain with the winch in order to pull the load, make sure the load capac-
ity of the belts or the chain is higher than the capacity of the winch.
Before each use make sure the steel cable is not creased, knotted or
damaged. Do not use the winch if the steel cable is damaged. Have the steel
cable checked and repaired by a professional.
Inspect the winch for rust and damages caused by salt, chemicals etc.
Allow qualified technicians only to repair the winch by using original
replacement parts only. Have the winch examined once a year by a safety
expert. The service life of the winch is limited, worn out parts must be
replaced in a timely manner.
Never lengthen the steel cable. The winch drum is designed for a determined
cable length. A longer steel cable might cause damages to the winch and the
load.
