Electric Connection and Test Run
1. When connecting the winch to the vehicle’s battery, make sure the battery
has a voltage of 12 V and a capacity of at least 55 Ah. Other battery voltages
or a weak battery might damage the winch.
2. Connect
the
red
cable with the
+
pole of the vehicle’s battery and the
black
cable with the
–
pole of the battery. Run the cables properly.
3. Connect the other red and black cable
ends with the terminals on the winch.
When connecting the cables, as shown
in the picture, the symbols on the
remote control buttons will stand for:
4. Guide the wire rope through the fairlead (4). Fasten the hook (6) with the rope
thimble (2) and secure the hook by using the cotter pin (14). When pressing
the respective button on the cable remote control, the steel cable will be
spooled out or wound.
Operation
1. Loosen the free spooling clutch
knob (1) by turning it clockwise.
Now the winch drum is released.
2. Pull out the desired length of
cable. Make sure at least 3 turns
of the steel cable are on the
winch drum. By doing this the
wire rope cannot be ripped off
the winch drum in case of high
tractive force.
