Operation
Intended Use
This random orbit finishing sander is an air tool for use by craftsmen. It can be
used for sanding, polishing and for surface preparation.
This tool shall only be powered by an air compressor. The max. permissible
working pressure stated in the Technical Specifications must not be exceeded.
This tool must not be operated with gases that are explosive, combustible or
detrimental to health.
Any other use is not as specified. Use not as specified, modification of the tool
or use of parts not approved by the equipment manufacturer can cause un-
foreseeable damage!
Before first Use
Unpack the air random orbital sander and the accessory and check all parts
for any damage in transit. Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of
reach of children. Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children.
Install the quick coupling adaptor (8) on the air inlet (3) of the tool. Seal the
thread of the quick coupling adaptor with Teflon tape before you screw it on.
Press the sanding disc on the sanding pad (1). Observe the position of the vac
holes.
Operation
Caution! To ensure a long service life of this tool, it needs to be supplied with
sufficient quantities of pneumatic oil. Observe the chapter “Lubrication”.
1. Connect vacuum hose (9) with the dust outlet (5) and the dust bag (10) with
the other end of the vacuum hose.
2. Adjust the working pressure at the compressor (see Technical Specifications
for max. permissible working pressure).
3. Connect the tool with the quick coupler to the air supply.
4. Press the throttle lever (2) fully down to start the tool. The further the lever is
pressed, the higher the speed of the random orbit sander will be. Adjust the
max. speed with the speed regulator (6).
5. Hold the sanding disc with light and even pressure on the surface to be
worked.
