Using
Water Level
During
steaming,
always mind the water level. If water amount is too low, the
food steamer can overheat and become damaged.
When filling the basic unit with water make sure not to fill beyond the MAX
marking. Otherwise water will spill over when placing the steam drip tray (4)
onto the basic unit. Furthermore water can splash over during cooking time.
When filling the basic unit up to MAX marking with 1.2 litres the food steamer
can cook food up to 60 minutes. When cooking time is below 20 minutes, only
fill the basic unit up to the half.
Always carefully pour water through the water filling openings on the steam
drip tray (4) by using a measuring cup or similar.
After Cooking
After cooking process, check whether the food is done. If you want to continue
steaming, place the lid on the steam basket again, check the water level, add
water into basic unit and finally switch on the time switch.
After finishing cooking process and in order to avoid further simmering by rising
steam, remove the steam baskets from the basic unit.
1. Open the lid from the side first and keep face and hands away from hot
steam. There is risk of scalding. Only touch and transport the steam baskets
by the closure latches or by the carrying handle.
2. If you want to remove one
resp. all steam baskets
from the basic unit,
arrange the transport drip
tray (11) in place and
place the baskets on the
drip tray.
3. Lock the steam baskets
with the drip tray. Now you
can transport the baskets
and allow the food to cool down for a while. When carrying more steam
baskets make sure they are securely locked together with the closure
latches. Only carry the steam basket set by the handle.
