Operation
Before first Use
Remove the hand-tiller and the accessory from the packaging. Keep
packaging materials out of reach of small children. There is risk of
suffocation!
Charging the Battery
Charge the battery before first use.
1. Insert the battery into the charging
station (9) and connect the charger
(13) with the charging station and
the wall socket. The rechargeable
battery (1) fits in one position only
into the charging station. The
charging indicator lamp (12) turns
on red and indicates that the battery
is charged.
2. After charging process (3
– 5 hours)
the charging indicator lamp (12)
turns on green. Remove the battery from the charging station and
unplug the charger.

The electronics protects the battery from over-charging, over-
heating and total discharge. There is no loss of charge. The battery
is characterised by low self-discharge. A fully charged battery is
always ready for use, even if you do not use it for months.

A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does
not develop its full capacity until after approx. 5 charging/
discharging cycles. When properly using the battery it can be
charged up to 1000 times.

If you notice during operation that the tines movement slows down
or stops abruptly, the battery is discharged. Always avoid
discharging the battery completely.

Please order a second battery under the article no. 81 50 51 (1300
mAh) or 93 92 77 (1500 mAh), so will be able to operate the hand-
tiller continuously.
