Operating
Before first Use
Remove the impact drill from the packaging. Keep packaging material out of
reach of small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Assembly of Auxiliary Handle and Depth Limiter
1. You can assemble the auxiliary handle on either the left ort he right side of
the drill housing depending on whether you are left or right handed, or to
suit drilling requirements.
2. If you wish to use the depth limiter in conjunction with the auxiliary handle,
please insert it into the opening directly above the handgrip before assem-
bly of the auxiliary handle. It may be necessary to loosen the clamping
action of the auxiliary handle by turning the rubber handgrip in a clockwise
direction to insert the depth limiter.
3. Please mount the auxiliary handle on the front of the drill housing encasing
the drive spindle.
4. Take care that the handgrip is pushed onto the flange until the two edges
on the drive spindle casing lock firmly into one of the openings of the
auxiliary handle clamp-ring to increase the transverse stability of the
auxiliary handle.
5. Finally fasten the handgrip by turning it in an anticlockwise direction.
Inserting of Tool Bit
1. The impact drill is fitted with a toothed drill chuck. Insert the desired tool bit
and tighten it manually. Then use the chuck key provided to fasten the bit
firmly by tightening the chuck evenly at the position of each of the three
holes in the jaws of the chuck.
1. Screwdriver bits should always be inserted into a bit holder. Always use
screwdriver tool bits which match the screw head.
2. Use only sharpened High Strength Steel (HSS) drill bits for drilling in
metal. Appropriate drill bits are available though the Westfalia tool bit
program.
Switching ON/OFF
1. To switch on the machine, press the ON/OFF trigger (4). To switch off,
release the ON/OFF trigger (4).
2. The ON/OFF trigger (4) can be locked in the pushed (ON) position by
pressing in the locking pin (8). The locking pin releases automatically
when the ON/OFF trigger (4) is pressed again.
