Preparation and Use
Before first Use
Remove the gasoline chain saw and all accessories out of the packing
and check all parts for damage in transit. Keep packaging materials out
of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!
Intended Use
The gasoline chain saw is designed for cutting exclusively branches,
logs, squared lumber etc. up to a diameter of 430 mm. It is only allowed
to cut wooden material. The chain saw is not designed for trimming
bushes.
Assembling the Guide Bar and the Saw Chain
Always use gloves when handling the saw chain.
1. Pull the front hand guard (1) in direction to
the front handle (2), so the kickback brake
is not activated.
2. Loosen both nuts of the clutch cover (21)
and remove the transport protection (24).
The transport protection serves as a
substitute for the guide bar. If you plan to
store the gasoline chain saw for long time,
remove the guide bar, re-attach the
transport protection and tighten the
screws.
3. Place the saw chain (18) around the
clutch (16) and attach the guide bar (17)
to the threaded bolts (see picture).
