Operation
selected temperature is reached, you will hear a confirmation sound and the
display stops flashing.
If you change the temperature setting by selecting a lower or a higher
temperature, the display starts flashing until the selected temperature is
reached. While the display is flashing, you can continue ironing.
Especially when lowering the temperature (e. g. from linen back to polyester)
the display will flash for several seconds to show, that the steam iron is too
hot for the selected temperature resp. for delicate clothes. Therefore we
recommend to sort out the laundry according to the needed temperature and
to start ironing with the lowest temperature.
Steam Button (4)
When the water in the tank is heated up and steams through the connection
hose, you will hear strange sounds. These sounds are normal and disappear
after some seconds. This is because air in the connection hose is completely
repressed by the steam.
When pressing the steam button (4), evenly formed steam escapes from the
sole plate. When releasing the steam button, steam emission is interrupted.
As there is still steam in the connection hose, less steam will emit from the
soleplate for approx. 1 second after releasing the steam button.
In the setting 1. NYLON no steam comes out, even after pressing the steam
button. This temperature is too low for steam emission.
From the stetting 2. POLYESTER and higher you will get steam from the sole
plate when pressing the steam button. The lower the temperature, the smaller
the amount of steam. The higher the temperature, the more steam is emitted.
If you need a great amount of steam for ironing resp. if you press the steam
button for long time, the iron will need some time to heat up again. First, the
temperature setting will flash and after reaching the temperature, the display
will continuously light up.
