Operating
2. The battery must be inserted completely until the battery releasing clips (4)
lock in place. To remove the battery, press the releasing clips (7) and pull the
battery out.
3. To switch on the branch cutter, first slide the safety switch (2) to the left or to
the right and hold the safety switch pressed. Than press the ON/OFF switch
(3) inwards. To switch off the branch cutter, release the ON/OFF switch. The
blade automatically moves back to initial position.
With a fully charged battery you can make approx. 400 cuts (cutting branches
with 9 mm diameter in hard wood or cutting branches with 14 mm in soft
wood). If the branch cutter stops while cutting, the battery is discharged. We
recommend ordering a second battery under the article no. 11 06 92 so you
will be able to operate the branch cutter continuously.
4. Switch off the branch cutter after work and remove the battery to avoid
injuries.
Safety Mechanism
Additionally the branch cutter is equipped with a safety mechanism. This
mechanism is designed to prevent serious injuries (cutting a finger). As soon as
you touch with your wet finger the hook blade while the branch cutter is switched
on, the safety mechanism will automatically switch off the unit.
Please note that this safety mechanism can also switch off the branch cutter if
you hold the branch cutter with one hand and grasp a wet resp. damp branch with
your other hand in order to cut it. In such a case, wear a glove on the hand that
holds the branch.
Base Extension Set and Supplemental Extension Set
To enlarge the branch cutter for reaching a working height of 5.5 m you can
connect the base and the supplemental extension sets together. Screw the tubes
together according to the desired working height.
