Operation 

This machine is simple in operation, however, before initial operation, the user 
manual shall be carefully read to avoid unnecessary troubles. 

Make sure the power mains voltage in your area confirms to the operating 
voltage stated on the type label. 

When the unit is plugged in, the red control LED (2) lights up. Press the 
ON/OFF button (5) to turn the unit on. When the unit is turned on, the green 
LED (1) lights up. 

Before use, allow the sharpener to run idle for 1 minute to check for normal 
operation. Only after the abrasive wheel reaches constant speed may the bit 
be sharpened. 

During operation, the drill to be sharpened is inserted into the positioning hole 
of corresponding dimensions. Apply light pressure and repeatedly rotate for 
several times, after withdrawal rotate by 180° and re-insert into the positioning 
hole. Repeat the procedure until the drill is satisfyingly sharp.  

For sharpening with the outside of the abrasive wheel, open the safety hood. 
For safety reasons, when the safety hood is opened to a 90° angle, the 
positioning holes for the drills will be closed. At that time, drills can not be 
sharpened.  

For grinding drills place the unit on the workbench upright, to use the outside 
of the stone, place the machine on the workbench flat. 

Adjustment Screw 

With the adjustment screw (6) you can adjust the position of the stone in the 
machine. This way the pressure with which the stone is forced against the 
stone is set.
